ELION DentalFront office and patient relationships

The conversation ends. The relationship doesn't.

ELION Dental answers every patient call from your own services, prices and policies, books what it can, flags what needs a person — and keeps every call, transcript and appointment in one record your practice sees and controls.

  • Answers 24/7, from your information
  • Books into your Google Calendar
  • Urgent calls flagged for a person
  • Every call kept in one record

What one call becomes

  1. Answered
  2. Understood
  3. Captured
  4. Booked or flagged
  5. Kept in your record

In action

One call, from hello to booked.

The film of a real ELION Dental call — answered, understood, and written into the practice record — lands here.

The real leak

You rarely lose a patient on the call. You lose them in the days after it.

A dental practice runs on threads. A question asked at eight in the evening. A treatment somebody is still thinking about. A patient who meant to rebook and didn't. The phone is where those threads start. It is almost never where they end.

The phone rings while the team is gloved.

Nobody is free to answer, and the caller doesn't leave a message.

Saturday's question has no owner on Monday.

By the time the practice opens, the thread has gone cold — or gone somewhere else.

What a patient said last time lives in somebody's memory.

Not in a place the whole practice can open, read and pick up from.

What ELION Dental is

It answers the phone. That is the smallest thing it does.

ELION Dental is a front-office system built around a dental practice. The call is one way in. What the practice is left holding afterwards — the record, the flags, the bookings, the summary at the end of the day — is the part that compounds.

Answers

Every call, around the clock — chairside, at lunch, after hours — in the voice and language your practice chose.

Understands

It works out what the patient needs, and answers only from the services, prices, hours and policies you gave it.

Acts

It checks availability and books the appointment into your Google Calendar once it's connected, and flags anything that needs a person.

Keeps

Call, transcript, patient details and appointment are saved together — each booking still linked to the call that produced it.

Dental context

It answers the way a dental front desk should — and stops exactly where a clinician starts.

ELION Dental carries dental-specific guardrails and a dental persona. That is not clinical knowledge and it is not a substitute for your team's judgement. It is a set of rules about how a dental call gets handled.

ELION Dental is a front-office system. It is not a medical device and it does not provide medical advice.

  1. It never gives clinical advice.

No diagnosis, no opinion on treatment, no medication guidance — on any call, however the question is asked.

  2. Pain and swelling are treated as urgent.

A caller describing pain or swelling is flagged as urgent and your team is alerted immediately, instead of queueing behind routine enquiries.

  3. It answers from your practice, or not at all.

Your services, prices, hours and policies are the only source it answers from. It doesn't guess, and it doesn't answer from another practice's information.

  4. It is not a clinician, and never claims to be.

ELION does not diagnose, prescribe or decide treatment. Every clinical judgement stays with your team.

One call, end to end

What actually happens when a patient calls.

Six things, every time, whether it's nine in the morning or eleven at night. The last one is the one a phone system never does.

  1. The phone is answered

Around the clock — chairside, at lunch, after hours. No queue, no voicemail, no missed first ring.

  2. The need is understood

A new patient, a price question, a booking, somebody in pain — ELION works out which one this is.

  3. The answer comes from you

The services, prices, hours and policies you loaded and approved. Nothing else, and nothing invented.

  4. The details are captured

Name, phone number and the reason for calling — on every call, without exception.

  5. It books, or it flags

Availability checked and the appointment booked. Anything urgent, or anything it couldn't resolve, is flagged and your team is alerted.

  6. It becomes a record

Call, transcript, patient details and appointment saved together — and the booking stays linked to the call that produced it.

In practice

Three ordinary moments in a dental week.

Lunchtime. A new patient calls.

It's 12:40 and the whole team is chairside or eating. ELION answers, tells the caller what your practice offers and what it costs — from the information you loaded — takes their name, number and reason for calling, and books the new-patient appointment. When your team looks up, there's a new patient in the diary and a transcript to read.

Saturday night. Somebody is in pain.

A caller describes a swollen jaw at nine in the evening. ELION gives no clinical advice — it isn't a clinician. It answers from the out-of-hours guidance your practice approved, captures the caller's details, marks the call urgent and alerts your team straight away. Nobody spends Monday morning listening back through voicemail to work out who needs seeing first.

Busy morning. A reschedule and a cancellation.

Two callers ring during the morning rush — one to reschedule a cleaning, one to cancel. ELION answers both, captures exactly what each of them needs and flags it for the front desk, so your team makes the change from the dashboard in seconds instead of playing phone tag all day.

Over time

The conversation ends. The relationship doesn't.

Every call, transcript, enquiry and appointment is kept in one place, tied to the patient it belongs to. When somebody contacts the practice again, your team opens the thread and has the whole history in front of them — not a memory of it.

To be exact about how this works today: the history is held for your practice to read, not recalled by ELION during the call. Memory across visits is on the roadmap below.

One patient · three contacts · one record

  1. First callAnswered · reason captured · appointment booked
  2. Weeks laterA question about treatment · answered from your information · flagged for the practice
  3. Next timeYour team opens the record and reads every call that came before

Illustrative. The history belongs to the practice — your team reads it in the dashboard.

And it comes to you

A summary arrives without anyone asking for it.

At the end of each day, and again each week, ELION emails your practice a summary of what happened — the calls it answered, what got booked, and what is still waiting on a person. You choose who receives it and how often.

  • Calls answered
  • Appointments booked
  • Waiting on your team
Human in command

Your practice decides how ELION works. All of it.

ELION does not change its own behaviour. Every part of how it answers is something your practice set, and can change, from the dashboard — and the dashboard is where you watch it work.

What you see

  • Every call, with its transcript
  • Patient enquiries and their details
  • Appointments, each linked to its call
  • Urgent calls and open escalations
  • The information ELION answers from
  • Your practice's phone numbers
  • Your usage and billing

What you decide

  • The services, prices and policies it answers from
  • The greeting your patients hear
  • The voice and the language
  • Your practice hours and timezone
  • When a call should go to a person instead
  • Whether calls are recorded
  • Who gets the summary, and how often
  • A test call, before a patient ever hears it
  • The switch that puts ELION on your line — and takes it off

Nothing changes without you.

Each practice's data is separated at the database level with row-level security. One practice never sees another practice's patients.

How we handle your data
What we're building

Where ELION Dental goes next.

None of this is live today. We're describing it because it's the work in front of us — and because you should always be able to tell the difference.

  • Memory across visits

So a returning patient's history shapes the conversation itself, not only the record your team reads afterwards.

  • Follow-up that goes out on its own

Reminders, and re-engagement for enquiries that never got booked — sent by ELION, on rules your practice sets and approves.

  • WhatsApp as a patient channel

The phone is the only live channel today. Messaging is next.

  • A learning queue your team approves

When conversations surface something ELION should know, it proposes the change and a person approves it. Designed so nothing is ever adopted on its own.

  • Patterns across practices — never patients

What tends to work in a dental front office is worth learning from. If we build it, it will be built on aggregated patterns and nothing else: your records stay separated at the database level with row-level security, one practice never sees another practice's patients, and nothing in your own record will ever train anything for another practice.

  • Practice-management integrations

We are pursuing direct integrations with the practice-management systems dental teams already use.

Everything above is planned work, not a current capability.

Questions dental teams ask

Does ELION replace my front desk?

No. It takes the part of the job that was never possible — being available on every ring, around the clock — and hands your team everything it captured. Every judgement call, every clinical decision and every change to how ELION works stays with people.

What happens if someone calls in pain?

The call is flagged as urgent and your team is alerted immediately. ELION shares only the out-of-hours guidance your practice approved, and it never gives clinical advice.

Where do its answers come from?

From your practice — the services, prices, hours and policies you load and approve. It doesn't guess, and it doesn't answer from anyone else's information.

Can it book into my calendar?

Yes. ELION checks availability, books the appointment and logs it in your dashboard, and it books into your Google Calendar once you've connected it. Direct practice-management integrations are on the roadmap, not live today.

Can a patient cancel or move an appointment on the call?

Not today. ELION captures what the caller needs and flags it, and your team makes the change from the dashboard. Caller-led rescheduling is planned work, not a current capability.

Does ELION change its own behaviour over time?

No. It answers from what your practice loaded, and behaves the way your practice configured it. Any change to either is one a person makes.

Can another practice see my patients?

No. Each practice's data is separated at the database level with row-level security.
