ELION Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to delete your ELION account and the personal data associated with it, what happens when you do, and what ELION keeps for a limited time afterwards. It summarises the commitments in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service; where they differ, those documents govern.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Delete your account yourself

Every ELION user can delete their own account from the web dashboard. You need to be signed in; no request to support is required.

  1. Sign in at elionagent.com and open Settings โ†’ Account, or go directly to elionagent.com/account/delete.
  2. Choose Delete my account, read what will be deleted, and tick the confirmation.
  3. Confirm. Your sign-in is deactivated immediately and you are signed out of every device.

Mobile app. In the Ask ELION app, open Settings โ†’ Delete account. The app opens the same web page, where the deletion is confirmed; nothing is deleted until you confirm it there.

Workspace owners. If you own a workspace, the same flow closes that workspace first and then deletes your account; the people you invited lose access. A workspace with an active subscription cannot be closed until the subscription has been cancelled from the dashboard, so cancel first and then return to delete your account.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, or you want personal data deleted that is not covered by the self-service path, email privacy-request@elionagent.com from the address linked to your account. Tell us the account email and what you want deleted. We verify the identity of the requester before acting and respond within the time frame required by applicable law.

If you are a customer of a business that uses ELION (for example, you spoke with its AI agent or messaged it on WhatsApp), that business is the controller of your data and ELION processes it on the business's behalf. You can send your request to the business directly or to the address above; where we act as a processor we will forward it to the business and support them in handling it.

3. What is deleted, and when

  • Immediately on confirmation: your sign-in is deactivated and anonymised, you are removed from every workspace you belonged to, and your sessions on all devices are revoked. You can no longer log in with that email address.
  • Workspace data (calls, transcripts, summaries, leads, appointments, knowledge base, settings) of a closed workspace enters a retention period of 30 days following account closure, during which the owner may ask for an export, and is deleted after it.
  • Data received through WhatsApp Business and Meta platforms on your behalf โ€” messages, the WhatsApp Business Account ID and phone number ID you connected โ€” is handled in the same way as the rest of your workspace data. ELION does not store your personal Facebook profile.

4. What may be kept, and why

Deletion is not instantaneous or absolute. In line with the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy, ELION may keep:

  • Audio recordings and technical logs for up to 12 months from when they were created.
  • Billing, invoicing and tax records for as long as accounting and tax law require.
  • Security and audit records needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance and the protection of other customers.
  • Backups, which are overwritten on their own cycle rather than edited; deleted data leaves them as that cycle completes.

Where data must be kept, it is kept only for that purpose and for no longer than the applicable retention period. Account deletion cannot be undone; a new account created later starts empty.
